Get on your feet, jump, and run!

Neatly positioned between witty club culture with bleeping (and sometimes also throbbing) chiptunes and 8-bit-music paired with artful game experiments, A MAZE. Jump’n Run is the perfect mergence of party and pioneering work. While the girls and boys from A MAZE always lure in some of the most interesting artists who experiment with video game artefacts and aesthetics, you won’t trust your ears when you hear some of the finest in quirky pling-plong music inspired by techno, blues and retro game soundtracks.

Our venue of choice is KIM (Brunnenstraße 10) in Mitte – one of the most important hearts of that big, messy, wonderful Berlin. Surrounded by art galleries, fancy and fucked up cafés as well as highly frequented public spaces, KIM is a very fitting example that the convergence of games, art and electronic music really comes to life in an urban, versatile space.

Jump’n Run – which is the German term for a Platformer video game – let’s your body bounce heavily due to the cooperation with the chiptune label BLEEPSTREET, featuring international artists like GOTO80, Rolemodel or Computadora.

Every A MAZE. Jump’n Run night oscillates between art, games, music, booze, healthy drinks and inspiring guests. It’s a place for a shared interest on Game Art, Art Games and Interactive Media. A meeting place for experimenting new ideas, technologies and strategies about how contemporary art content can be fused to a very special synthesis.

Since October of 2008, Jump’n Run also has quite a history to show. By the way: When Jump’n Run goes on tour it is officially a Bonus Cheat. Watch our for some enlightening art and games cheats near your hometown. Or just contact us if you want exactly this to happen soon!
