Global Game Jam
The Global Game Jam is an international Hands-On Game Festival which
takes place in over 100 cities world
wide on just one weekend. The
participants will produce experimental computer games which will be uploaded
to the main GGJ website at the end of the weekend. From there everyone
can download and play the games.
The Global Game Jam is a wonderful opportunity for participants to
expand their horizons, challenge themselves, and meet new people. Right
away you will start developing a finished game with strangers who share
the same passion as you in just two days. At the end you are
tired but happy.
Watch
the 2009 GGJ Keynote video on Youtube (jump to minute 1:40) and get
inspired by Kyle Gabler
(World of
Goo) and other Indie Developers.
In Germany this event is taking place in:
Berlin (this site), Bremen, Cologne, Munich and Nuremberg
Take Part!
Everyone is welcome but we have only room for 20 people so please register
soon.
You should bring a passion for games and
a Hands-On Skill (like programming, art, music…etc) that will help to
develop one.

We will ask everyone for a 20 Euro participation fee to cover our expenses.
This money is spend solely for your convenience. We will offer food (probably
soup, sandwiches, nuts, sweeties, coffee, tea...etc) and material
which will be provided on site for all participants.
Because of our generous sponsors it's likely that in the end you will
get back more value than you actually payed for.
Accommodation
The GGJ is 48 hour event and it's not unlikely to see participants sleeping
at the workspace. We can only offer a warm and secure room but please
